Lanzarote Golf, Puerto del Carmen

Since 2009 the second golf course in Lanzarote has opened and offers to all golf players a new sports challenge. Situated on a slope between Puerto del Carmen and TĂas you can enjoy the unique landscape of the island and fantastic views of the sea.

The new golf course was designed by the well known American designer Ron Kirby and it fits harmoniously into the surrounding area. The course has 18 holes with par 72 and is more than 6000 metres long. From the first moment of planning, the ecological side as well as the integration into the natural volcanic landscape were taken into consideration. And the result, a green oasis with its own water system and magnificent fairways, shows that real experts worked on the project.

While all 18 holes of the golf course are nicely playable the infrastructure of the Golf Resort offers more comodity. A club house with all possible comforts you’d expect in this sport, a reception, a professional golf shop, changing rooms, restaurant and a cafeteria with spectacular views over the golf course and the Atlantic satisfy all.

Also for beginners of this interesting sport the golf course offers perfect conditions. Driving range, putting green and a special area with bunker are there to learn the basics of the game. In the golf academy professional teachers offer the possibility to learn everything about golf or to improve your game. One of the main principles of Lanzarote Golf is the idea to offer this sport to everybody who is looking for a new sport alternative, following the actual tendency to establish golf as a sport for one and all.

One of the biggest advantages of the golf course is the climate. While nearly all golf courses in Europe close during the winter season you can enjoy playing in Lanzarote during the whole year. With spring like temperatures this open air sport becomes a real pleasure and the magnificent views of the Atlantic and the Ajaches mountains are truly impressive.
